Charles Construction Services Raised $12,000 To Support Open Arms! |
||

| Charles Construction Services would like to thank all sponsors, donors, and volunteers who participated in the 2007 annual golf benefit held on September 21st. All proceeds benefited Open Arms Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center in Hancock County, Ohio. Open Arms offers diverse services, including a 24-hour crisis hotline, a confidential crisis shelter, support groups, and prevention/education programming. Charles Construction Services acknowledges the need and importance of such services to assist the most vulnerable members of our community. Proceeds from 2007 benefit totaled over $12,000! Next year's benefit is scheduled to be held on September 19,2008 at Red Hawk Run golf course in Findlay. Charles Construction Services Annual Award |
||
| In 2004, Charles Construction Services established a Construction Award Fund to be administered by the Findlay-Hancock Community Foundation. The award is presented in the spring to a deserving high school graduate pursuing a career in construction. The funds may be used for training/education in construction and/or purchasing "start-up" tools. Recipient must be a graduate of an area high school and/or a family member of an employee. This years award was presented to Eathan Orians,a 2007 Carey graduate. Eathan plans on attending Owens Community College in the fall to continue his education in construction. Gateway: The City of Findlay Entry Signage Project |

| Charles Construction Services donated monetary funds for the Findlay Gateway Project. This endeavor involves updating the signage that currently marks the city limits. This will not only leave a positive first impression on visitors, it will leave a lasting one. | ||

Adopt-A-Homeless Family: Hope House |

"To seek an end to homelessness in Hancock County by transitioning homeless women and their children into permanent housing and by assisting low-income people in securing housing." |
||
| Our employees participate in the Adopt-A-Homeless Family program, sponsored by Hope House at Christmas time. Our staff has generously donated items ranging from strollers to clothing, to help those less fortunate. In 2007, Charles Construction Services sponsored a family of four. Findlay Hope House for the Homeless opened its doors on November 19, 1990 as a transitional homeless shelter for women and women with children. The organization has since served over 900 women and children. | ||

Open Arms Birdhouse Auction |
||
|
Open Arms Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center holds an annual
birdhouse auction to help raise funds to maintain the agency's
facilities and six programs. The monies from this event are vitally
important to the health of the agency. Recognizing the community need
for this organization, our firm participates by donating both time and
items for the auction. In 2007, the event raised over $34,000, setting a
