Owens Community College, Findlay Campus Education Center

AGC 2005 "Build Ohio" Award & ABC 2005 "Excellence in Construction" Award

Owens Community College celebrated the grand opening of the Findlay-area campus on September 10, 2005. This new facility includes 38 advanced technology classrooms, 27 computer laboratories, a bookstore, common areas for administrative functions, and other student services. Charles Construction Services Inc. was selected to serve as the general contractor following a competitive bid process involving seven companies. Awards

Charles Construction was also awarded Phase II of the Owens State Community College Findlay Campus. This will consist of a new 24,772 sq. ft. Academic Services Building.

The Ohio State University Student Services Building

Marion, Ohio

The Ohio State University Marion Student Services Building  encompasses 29,601 square feet and includes numerous university departments, computer kiosks, and a community room for lectures, meetings, and other social functions.  The center is located in the former parking lot, southwest of Morrill Hall. 

Family Services Center

Findlay, Ohio

Construction Manager of a 47,000 sq. ft. remodel which will house local social service offices for Hancock County.

Findlay Family YMCA, East Branch 

Findlay, Ohio

Charles Construction Services, Inc. was selected as the General Contractor for the Findlay Family YMCA East Branch Project. This was Phase III of a multi-phase project. Phase III included renovation of the existing fitness center and the addition of new locker rooms. 

Hancock County Bureau of Motor Vehicles Licensing and Testing Center

Findlay, Ohio
     

Hancock County BMV Licensing and Testing Center (a 18,000 sq. ft. facility), located at 8210 County Rd 140, combined seven vehicular-related departments relocated from three separate locations. The building's unique design unites each department at a central rotunda, which provides the convenience of one-stop service for customers.
Tinora Elementary School
Defiance, Ohio
As the General Contractor, our firm self-performed the concrete foundations, structural steel erection, metal roofing, and finish carpentry. The single floor facility features a gymnasium and cafeteria area in the center of the building, surrounded by educational and administrative offices. 

Freedom Elementary School (fka Washington-McKinley)

Lima, Ohio

This 57,400 sq. ft. single story facility is a slab on grade structure utilizing a joist and beam primary framing system with exterior masonry load bearing walls. The building houses classrooms for kindergarten through fourth grade students, as well as administrative offices, kitchen, dining area, stage and gymnasium
Family YMCA
Findlay, Ohio
The 83,000 sq ft facility includes indoor running track, whirlpool spa, and an aerobics area. As General Contractor, Charles Construction Services received an Associated Builders and Contractors "Excellence in Construction" Award for this project. Award

New Riegel Schools K-12

New Riegel, Ohio

90,000 sq. ft. K-12 facility, with standing seam roof.

Findlay High School Press Box and Concession Building

Findlay, Ohio

Construction of a new 3,000 sq. ft. press box and concession facility. Charles Construction was selected by Findlay City Schools to serve as the general contractor for this project.  

Hancock Historical Museum
Findlay, Ohio
Charles Construction Services, Inc. served as the General Contractor for the project, which included renovations to the existing structure and construction of a wood addition. 
Hancock County Agricultural Center
Findlay , Ohio
23,500 sq.ft. wood and brick structure was constructed to accommodate six different federal, state and local services and designed to match a nearby government agency building.

Tiffin University Student Center
Tiffin, Ohio
Constructed the original 48,000 sq. ft. facility. Additions were made totaling over 22,000 sq. ft. which include a student lounge gymnasium, bookstore, and offices.
